Each teak piece is unique, with one of the highlights of natural teak being its beauty and grain. Depending on climate and exposure to elements, teak weathers to a beautiful silver-grey finish over time. The wood will expand and contract with changes in climate. Shrinking of the wood can result in hairline cracks in the assembly joints or the grain itself. This does not affect the structural integrity of the frame’s construction. The natural oils in teak may rise to the surface if exposed to rain and humidity, appearing like water stains. Oil content can vary between pieces, so oil surfacing may recur multiple times before it naturally subsides over a period of several months.

Our Pure collection focuses on teak as its primary material — interpreting natural roots, stumps and live edges as everyday lifestyle pieces. Made from the roots of the teak tree, the Pure Curved Stump is bespoke outdoor beauty — we hand select solid Indonesian teak roots with defining details to let the personality of the wood shine, creating a rounded silhouette with natural cutouts, curves and artistic irregularities. Its unique organic shape makes this rustic piece the perfect contrast to any style. Due to the design's raw aesthetic, variations in size and the number of roots will occur for a truly one–of–a–kind table that will weather and change over time.
FEATURES

• Frame handcrafted of sustainably sourced solid Indonesian teak in our workshop
• When properly maintained and cared for, teak is the ideal outdoor material with its natural resistance to weather, cracking and rotting. Please refer to our Care + Maintenance Guide for additional information about the care and natural beauty of teak
• Our custom outdoor covers are strongly recommended as an extra layer of protection against the elements and natural aging
• If the furniture will remain covered and not used frequently, we recommend periodically taking off the covers to allow moisture and humidity to dissipate from inside allowing the furniture to breathe. This helps reduce trapped humidity if the furniture is not regularly used.
• Over time, each unique piece will naturally experience movement, cracks and changes in the appearance of the wood. Driven by sun and moisture, natural cracking is especially prevalent in stumps due to the thickness of the wood.
• Can be found at delivery or aftertime with use.
