Florida Framing: A Lakefront Outdoor Escape

A breezy ceiling of warm Accoya wood. The shimmer of water just beyond the firelight. A palette drawn from sand, stone, and sky. This lakeside Florida residence reimagines outdoor living with a refined, relaxed touch. Designed by Natalie Kight of Theory Design, the home tells a story of seamless transitions, where nature and architecture exist in quiet harmony. Harbour’s collections play a central role—balancing modern lines with coastal comfort to bring the outside in, and the inside out.

A Vision of Florida Living

“This home was all about creating effortless connections—between people, space, and surroundings,” explains interior designer Natalie Kight. “We leaned into natural textures, organic finishes, and furnishings that could ground each space while still feeling open and elegant.”

That vision comes to life through Harbour’s carefully selected pieces. From the herringbone wood ceiling to the lakefront fire lounge, every detail reflects a sense of understated luxury rooted in place, purpose, and warmth.

Curating a Lakeside Escape

At the heart of the alfresco dining area, the Hayman Dining Table sets the tone with its strong linear profile in powder-coated aluminum. Paired with sculptural Victoria Dining Chairs, the space is equal parts practical and poised—ideal for family dinners or breezy weekend brunches.

Steps away, the Amalfi Collection defines the outdoor living room. Deep sectionals, softened in Stirling Sanddollar upholstery, offer generous comfort and wrap around a sleek fireplace for a truly livable lounge moment. The Macquarie Coffee Table anchors the arrangement with sculptural weight, while Victoria Side Tables add flexibility and layered function.

Poolside, the Antigua Sun Lounges invite relaxation with their woven rope detailing and clean, coastal lines. Matching round tables in Laminam Noir add a polished accent—designed to stand up to sun, splash, and spontaneous sunset cocktails.

Rooted in Place

Framed by lush landscaping and glassy water views, the residence makes the most of its natural surroundings without ever feeling overdesigned. The material palette stays grounded—wood, metal, stone, and fabric—creating a timeless backdrop for daily living and impromptu gatherings.

"Every element of the space was intentionally selected to enhance the Florida lifestyle,” Kight shares. “It’s not just about looking beautiful—it’s about living beautifully."

Blurring the Boundaries

The genius of this project lies in its quiet transitions. Indoor and outdoor spaces aren’t divided—they speak the same language. Shared materials, soft palettes, and thoughtful layout decisions mean no matter where you are in the home, you feel the same rhythm of calm, coastal sophistication.
