Sydney Collection: A New Expression of Teak

50 YEARS IN THE MAKING

For 50 years, Sydney Harbour has shaped our design language. The way light moves across the water, the culture of outdoor living, and the elegance of boating life have influenced the way we think about materials, craftsmanship, and the connection between furniture and its environment.

Created in celebration of our 50th anniversary, the Sydney Collection reflects these origins through a new expression of outdoor design centered around one defining material innovation: High Gloss Teak.

Sydney Dining Chair

Inspired by the polished finishes of luxury yachts, High Gloss Teak introduces a richness and depth rarely seen in outdoor furniture. Developed in Italy using a marine-grade coating system, the finish is achieved through an eight-step, multi-layer process of polyurethane and polyester, with hand sanding completed between each application. The result is a mirror-like surface that enhances the natural warmth and grain of Grade A Indonesian teak while delivering exceptional durability for outdoor environments.

More than a finish, the material transforms the way teak interacts with light. Surfaces shift and reflect throughout the day much like the harbour itself, creating depth, movement, and a refined sense of atmosphere. The polished texture brings an almost interior-like sophistication to outdoor furniture while preserving the organic character of natural teak.

Born on the edge of Sydney Harbour, where outdoor living is woven into everyday life, the Sydney Collection reflects the foundations of our design philosophy: clean lines, enduring materials, and effortless functionality. Coastal in spirit yet versatile in application, each piece is designed to transition seamlessly between indoor and outdoor spaces.

The collection pairs High Gloss Teak with top-of-the-line Batyline mesh slings sourced and manufactured in Europe by Serge Ferrari. This incredibly durable PVC-coated mesh provides airy, supportive comfort while remaining resistant to stretching, tearing, and everyday wear. Lightweight and easy to maintain, the material reinforces the collection’s balance of performance and refinement.

Complementing the mesh base, an exclusive series of add-on cushions introduces a softer, more tactile layer to the collection. Developed in collaboration with Italian textile house Mario Sirtori, the fabrics were inspired by the tones and textures of Sydney Harbour and designed specifically for elevated outdoor living.

Available in four exclusive Italian fabrics, the collection includes Sorrento, a luxurious linen-inspired textile with a relaxed hand feel, alongside Sorrento Stripe, distinguished by woven stripe detailing that adds subtle contrast and visual depth. While refined in appearance, each fabric is engineered for high-performance durability and everyday outdoor use.

The Sydney Collection introduces five new designs: the Sydney Club Chair, Sydney Dining Chair, Sydney Slatted Dining Table, Sydney Slatted Side Table, and Sydney Sun Lounge. Each piece reflects our continued commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and thoughtful materiality.

“In Sydney, light dances across the harbour, shifting, shimmering, alive, revealing the quiet beauty of the ocean and the materials that sit beside it,” shares Nicholas Condos, Chief Creative Officer and Co-founder. “There is a romance to this meeting of sea and surface where reflections blur the line between water, sky, and design. For 50 years, we have crafted within this rhythm, shaping pieces that respond to light, endure by the ocean, and belong effortlessly to their environment. Our new Sydney Collection honors and reflects this connection.”

The launch of Sydney marks a milestone moment for our family business. Founded in 1976, we have remained family-owned and operated across generations, growing from a small workshop into a global name in luxury outdoor design.

“2026 feels incredibly special for us because it marks 50 years since our family business began,” shares Harrison Condos. “It started in 1976 with our father, who first learned his craft as a blacksmith at just 14 years old, and carried that dedication with him when he moved to Australia and built a life around creating with his hands. To look at where we are today, and see how that foundation has grown into a global business, is something we never take for granted.”

The Sydney Collection captures this legacy through material, craftsmanship, and atmosphere — defined by Sydney, elevated through innovation, and shaped by the ever-changing light of the coast.
