Neo-Classical meets Mediterranean
Bay Royal Apartments, the luxurious beachfront apartments located in the heart of Byron Bay, transformed its pool, barbecue and entertainment areas to create a timeless, modern outdoor area that boasts coastal luxury.
Harbour’s designs were selected to elevate the outdoor areas and achieve the project’s vision.
Built in 1998, the infrastructure of the Bay Royal Apartments features white concrete forms with curved edges, punctuated by cylindrical columns, which lead designer Matthew Barnes describes as “Neo-Classical meets Mediterranean.”
To perfectly complement the existing infrastructure, Matthew said that Harbour furniture was selected because of its clean lines and beautiful geometrical proportions, with his vision to create an outdoor space that was “sophisticated and restrained yet luxuriously detailed.” To accessories the space, custom-designed accent cushions, vases and potted plants were used amongst the furnishings.
