Inside the Redesigned Rooftop at Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills

The rooftop at Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills has undergone a dramatic transformation, unveiling a newly reimagined rooftop experience overlooking Beverly Hills, the Santa Monica Mountains, and the Hollywood Sign, thoughtfully furnished with some of Harbour’s most iconic collections.

At the center of the redesign is the hotel’s exclusive 50-foot rooftop pool and the newly refreshed sky-high restaurant and lounge, Gemma. Designed by award-winning Parisian designer Marc Ange, the spaces embrace a cinematic approach to hospitality design, layered with warm terracotta tones, sculptural forms, and a distinctly European sensibility.

Framing this new expression of rooftop living are several of our collections, thoughtfully selected to complement the architectural vision through materiality, craftsmanship, and understated luxury.

Set against sweeping panoramic views, our Antigua Sun Loungers in Aluminum Bone introduce a refined take on coastal relaxation. Defined by soft proportions, a domed hinged cushion, and woven all-weather rope detailing in a Light Luxe finish, the collection reinterprets European styling through a contemporary outdoor lens. Floating plinth bases and neutral tones create an atmosphere that feels both elevated and effortless.

Paired alongside are Nova Round Side Tables in teak with travertine tops — sculptural accents that echo the clean simplicity of mid-century design. Warm natural materials and softened geometry bring quiet texture and balance to the rooftop environment.

Anchoring the lounge spaces, our Victoria Teak Lounge Chairs and Victoria Stone Coffee Table offer a study in proportion and craftsmanship. Inspired by the iconic mid-century tripod chair, the lounge chair balances sculptural curves with strong architectural lines, featuring plush all-weather cushions suspended within a rounded solid Indonesian teak frame. The coordinating coffee table mirrors this language through curved plank legs and a substantial cream travertine top, grounding the seating arrangement with understated elegance.

Completing the rooftop experience are our Breeze XL Aluminum Cabanas — Harbour’s most luxurious poolside offering. Combining powder-coated tubular aluminum with solid teak slatting, the cabanas create dimension, filtered light, and architectural shade while maintaining an airy simplicity. Designed around expansive double sun lounges, each handcrafted structure defines the atmosphere of the rooftop with a sense of resort-scale comfort and quiet grandeur.

Together, the collections create a layered outdoor experience that feels timeless yet contemporary — an effortless dialogue between European-inspired design, California light, and modern hospitality living.

With Marc Ange’s distinctive design perspective and Harbour’s commitment to craftsmanship, the rooftop becomes more than a destination. It becomes an immersive design experience. Every material, silhouette, and finish was thoughtfully considered to create spaces that feel both elevated and deeply livable. From handcrafted teak detailing to sculptural forms and refined natural textures, the collaboration reflects a shared philosophy rooted in artistry, timelessness, and the beauty of outdoor living.
